Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Educo London Ltd — Registered UCAS Centre 21393
124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX

This policy applies to assessment sittings, predicted grades, academic references and UCAS submission services.

1. Your statutory cancellation right

Because you book with us at a distance, you may cancel within 14 days of the date we confirm your booking, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If you cancel within 14 days and have sat no papers, you receive a full refund with no deductions of any kind.

If sittings have already taken place at your request within that window, you may still cancel, but we will deduct a proportionate amount for the sittings delivered and any marking carried out.

To cancel, email info@educolondon.com with your name and booking dates. We will refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation.

Nothing below reduces this right.

2. Cancellations after the 14-day period

Refunds apply to unsat papers only, and depend on how much notice you give before your first booked sitting.

3. Invigilator reservation fee

We reserve and pay for your invigilator at the point of booking. This is paid out immediately and cannot be recovered, so a reservation fee of £25 per subject is deducted from refunds made outside the 14-day period.

Where we are able to reallocate your slot to another candidate, we will normally refund this fee.

This fee never applies to cancellations made within the 14-day statutory period.

4. Reference and UCAS submission fee

The reference and submission fee is refunded in full if you cancel before we begin drafting your reference. It is not refundable once drafting has begun or your application has been submitted.

We will tell you when drafting starts, so you always know where you stand.

5. Rescheduling

You may reschedule each sitting once free of charge with 7 days' notice or more. Rescheduling with less than 7 days' notice, or any second reschedule, is charged at £40 per sitting.

New dates are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed close to the UCAS deadline.

If you are unwell, tell us as soon as you can and we will do our best to move the sitting without charge.

6. Missed sittings and technical disruption

A sitting missed without notice is treated as delivered and is not refundable. The invigilator has been booked and the slot cannot be reused.

If a sitting cannot be completed because of a technical fault on our side, we will reschedule it at no charge and the paper will not be counted as delivered. Where a fault occurs at your end, we will do our best to reschedule, though we cannot guarantee an alternative date close to the UCAS deadline.

7. Outcomes are not grounds for refund

Predicted grades reflect your performance in the papers you sit, marked against official mark schemes with real grade boundaries applied.

We cannot refund on the basis that a predicted grade is lower than you hoped for, that a university rejects your application, or that you later change course or destination. What you are paying for is honest, evidenced assessment — not a particular grade.

If you believe a paper has been marked incorrectly, you may request a remark. Remarks are subject to the following conditions:

  • Requests must be made within 14 days of receiving your grade.
  • You must identify the specific questions you believe were marked incorrectly and explain why. General requests to have a paper looked at again cannot be accepted.
  • One remark is permitted per paper. Our remark decision concludes our internal review process; this does not affect your statutory rights or your right to complain under section 12.
  • A remark is a review of your existing script against the mark scheme. It is not an opportunity to resit or resubmit work.
  • Your grade may go down as well as up. The paper is remarked in full, and the revised mark stands whether it is higher or lower than the original.
  • A fee of £40 applies, refunded in full if your grade changes.

Where a remark results in a changed grade, your predicted grade is recalculated accordingly and reissued at no charge.

8. If we cancel

If we are unable to deliver a booked sitting, we will offer an alternative date. Where no suitable alternative can be found, you receive a full refund for that sitting.

9. UCAS application fee

The UCAS application fee is paid by you directly to UCAS through the UCAS Hub. We never receive or hold this money and are not able to refund it. Refunds under this policy relate only to fees paid to Educo London Ltd.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this policy.

Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with our services, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to the total fees you have paid to us for the services in question.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of a university place, deferred entry, lost tuition or accommodation costs, lost earnings, or loss of opportunity.

We provide predicted grades, references and submission services with reasonable care and skill and within the timescales stated at the point of booking. We cannot, however, guarantee any particular outcome, and we are not responsible for decisions made by UCAS, by universities, or by your school or college, nor for delays caused by information you or a third party supply to us late.

11. How refunds are paid

Refunds are returned to the original payment source, normally within 14 days of agreement. Where a third party paid on your behalf, the refund is returned to them.

12. Complaints

Please email info@educolondon.com. We aim to respond within five working days.

13. Governing law

This policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the law of England and Wales, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
